The Head of the Legal Service Center of the Bekobod City Justice Department, Justice Advisor Nizomiddin Umaraliyevich Tursunov, in his speech, emphasized that the Ministry of Justice is one of the state bodies responsible for combating corruption. Within the scope of the Ministry of Justice's authority in this field:

Participation in the development and implementation of state programs and other initiatives aimed at combating corruption;
Carrying out and coordinating legal advocacy aimed at increasing public legal awareness and culture, as well as strengthening the rule of law;
Analyzing normative legal acts and their drafts to identify provisions and norms that create conditions for corruption;
Taking measures to eliminate the causes and conditions conducive to corruption;
Cooperating with other bodies and organizations involved in anti-corruption activities.

He also stressed that the primary task of self-management for an individual is the governance of one’s desires, striving for self-improvement and spiritual growth. A person should work on themselves to attain a level of virtue and embody the admirable qualities of others within themselves.

Compliance Service Manager G. Nurmatov expressed deep concern over the rapidly escalating situation in the Middle East and noted that further escalation of tensions could lead to unprecedented threats to regional security and unpredictable consequences for the entire international community.

He also emphasized the commitment of the plant to the principles of preventing the use of its products (goods, works, or services) for the purpose of money laundering and terrorism financing. It was highlighted that money laundering includes actions to disguise the origin of funds obtained through criminal activity by transferring, converting into property, or other means to give them a legitimate appearance, as well as concealing the true ownership of these assets.

Participants of the roundtable were provided with explanations about the causes, forms, and manifestations of conflicts of interest, as well as the requirements of the Law "On Conflict of Interest" and the procedure for incentivizing reports on corruption and conflicts of interest at the plant.
